Hungry Jack’s supports Taronga’s dedicated team to help ensure against rapidly declining numbers of gorillas in Africa. There are seven Western Lowland Gorillas in the Taronga family, the newest being baby Mwamba, born to mother Mbeli and father Kibali in September 2017. The efforts of Taronga are a valuable contribution to world breeding programs for gorillas as Western Lowland Gorillas are critically endangered, with the long-term survival of this species under serious threat due to habitat destruction and deforestation, poaching and disease outbreaks like Ebola.
